Understanding the Old Testament Command
of Genocide in Light of a Good God
Multimedia Presentation by
Duane Morris
Cedar Park Church Bothell, WA
May 25th, 2022
Description:
How could a Good God command the Israelites to wipe out the Caananites? Is the God of the Old Testament different from the God we find in the New Testament? This challenge of whether we follow a truly Loving God in light of His command and even participation in their destruction, is commonly used by skeptics and is troubling for believers. How can we reconcile the account of Israel taking the Promised Land with the Loving God that we know? The answer can seem elusive, but it is evident in the Scripture itself.
