DNA Recombination

Recombination generates unique offspring by altering DNA before cells divide, and is likely the time when genes are edited to add new information to the population.

• • Meiosis - Cell division of sex cells. Sexual reproduction occurs when two cells give half their DNA to offspring.
  • Mitosis - Normal cell division.
