Genetic Code

• DNA is molecular information used in a genetic program.

• 3 nucleotides comprise a coding unit called a codon, which specifies the amino acid used in the protein.

Codon - Amino Acid

UGC = CysteinCUG = Leucine

AGU = Serine

GCA = Alanine
