nCreationists regard organisms as constructed on a common plan (i.e. designed for similar purpose)
nDarwin explained homology on the basis of the “theory of descent with slow and slight modifications”
nThe evolutionist’s explanation attributes homologous features to similar genes inherited from a common ancestor
nDarwin’s followers later redefined homology to mean “similarity due to common ancestry”
nThis leads to circular reasoning
nSome similar structures are not acquired through common ancestry – e.g. octopus eye and human eye
