nTo go from nothing to an
eye would be a very big jump
nDarwin proposed a series
of what appeared to be relatively small steps (they are still gigantic
leaps) that might be able to produce an eye
Pseudogenes
usually have mutations that would produce stop codons within what would
normally be the coding region, thus only fragments of the protein they seem
to code for would be produced if they were expressed. It is not known if pseudogenes are
expressed in any way.
